Baramulla, Nov 18: The Aarifeen School of Excellence held its first theme assembly with lively performances from students.
Ghulam Mohammad Lone, Chief Educational Officer and the recipient of the National Award was the chief guest of the event. The educators started the event by the recitation of the 99 names of Allah. The students displayed a variety of programmes in different languages which included a wide range of informative skits. The skits were theme-based which showed the distinction between healthy and junk food, highlighted the modes of transportation, the jungle, and the farm animals, and differences between rural and urban modes of living along with the prayers in four different languages.
Learners through their performances made the audiences smile, laugh, ponder and cry simultaneously. A variety of group songs, role plays, and other educational performances were performed by the students. Parents and government representatives appreciated the enthralling vigor and passion of the students and the staff.
“It is so mesmerising to see children of such a young age speaking such fluent English and Arabic. I am so happy that I have admitted my child to this institute. Had such institutes present during our times!” one of the parents said.
Another parent said. “The difference is starkly visible. The students are visibly ahead of the children of their age group. All credit must go to hardworking educators and other staff.”
Chief Education Officer, Baramulla, said such co-curricular events should be held in schools to motivate the learners and parents. He further talked about the student exchange programme between private and government schools.
“The students’ performance was excellent. I congratulate the school management for introducing the Arabic language and the educators who are training the learners in a much better way,” the CEO Baramulla said.
He said while the government is focused on ensuring a brighter future for students, it is the responsibility of an educator to guide a student’s life in a positive direction. “Our youth are involved in several social evils, but a competent educator is the only one who can safeguard a society from menaces,” the CEO Baramulla added.
The Chairman of the school said, “What you are seeing right now is a small glimpse of the all-round development of our children. Together, we shall take the school to new heights,” he said.
School coordinator Asma Sadiq outlined the institution’s academic accomplishments and future ambitions in her welcome speech. She congratulated the staff and kids for their enthusiastic participation and dedication in making the theme assembly festivities a success.
Zonal Education Officer, Zone Singhpora – Fayaz Ahmad Shah, Incharge Principal GHSS Delina – Sheikh Saqib, Incharge SHO Delina – Mohammad Shoaib, renowned scholar of Asia – Dr. Ghulam Qadir Lone, Principal of Novel Public School, Coordinator SRM Welkin Sopore and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
The event was supported and encouraged by the different food partners of Baramulla, especially, First Squeeze – the first Kashmir-based juice with no added preservatives, colour, or sugar, and the Magnus Group.
In the final performance of the theme assembly, the students of the 2nd grade beautifully depicted the journey of the ASE as a dream. It showcased the dream gradually turning into reality. The event was deeply hailed by all the parents and guests. It also received a lot of positive feedback on its social media pages.
