AAP MLA supports Art 370 resolution, says seeking ‘my people’s rights’

Srinagar, Nov 06: Lone MLA of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Jammu and Kashmir, Mehraj Malik on Wednesday broke ranks by backing a resolution calling for the restoration of the J&K’s special status, saying there was nothing wrong with it.
Malik, the AAP MLA from Doda district, said this resolution aims to safeguard the rights of people of the J&K and jobs. “BJP has snatched the jobs of 4th class employees and destroyed the region for the past 10 years,” he said.
He said, “BJP MLAs should read this historic resolution. I support the resolution. Anything that benefits the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the country, I will stand with. We should have rights over our land rights.”
About AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, who had supported the abrogation of Article 370, Malik said that he supported the resolution because it seeks to protect land rights and jobs. “This is about the people of Jammu and Kashmir. There is nothing wrong with it,” he said.
