Jammu, Jan 21: Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday expressed its strong concern over rising terror incidents in areas of Jammu province asking the Government to take accountability of its failure on the security front.
Addressing an emergency press conference called soon after the terror strikes in Jammu, Chairman of State Coordination Committee of AAP and Former Minister, Harsh Dev Singh condemned the terror act in Narwal and said that terrorists are now targeting civilian population which is a cause of concern for all.
Expressing sympathy with the injured in these twin explosions, Singh asked the Jammu and Kashmir Government to ensure that the victims are provided with best possible treatment wherever required and financial aid to their families.
AAP leader said that the number of terror incidents in areas of Jammu province have witnessed a sharp rise in the past couple of months which is a serious concern as almost all the areas of the province were peaceful from the past more than a decade and things were going on peacefully.
“Now there is a sudden rise in terror incidents in Jammu province areas which should be taken seriously and recent massacre in Dhangri village of Rajouri, IED recovery at Kheora Rajouri, twin explosions at Narwal Jammu today are some incidents which hint towards troublesome situation in Jammu province areas,” Harsh Dev Singh said.
“Terror incidents in areas where the situation was peaceful from last one decade, expose tall hollow claims of BJP that the security situation has improved under its governance.” Harsh Dev Singh said.
The situation has not improved under BJP rule but unfortunately it has gone worse and now those areas are witnessing terror incidents and attacks where the situation was peaceful before from last more than a decade, he said.
“BJP is responsible for all this and all the hard work done by some democratically elected governments in Jammu and Kashmir for bringing improvement in security situation has been wasted by BJP and its proxy LG rule in Jammu and Kashmir and now situation has turned to a level where explosions are taking place in areas of Jammu City which is winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir,” Harsh Dev Singh said.
The AAP senior leader further said that both Government of India and Government of Jammu and Kashmir and especially  Ministry of Home Affairs should take accountability of these security failures in Jammu and Kashmir due to which the number of terror attacks are increasing and a common man in Jammu and Kashmir is now feeling unsafe.
