Pulwama, May 22: An 11-year-old boy lost his life after a tractor overturned in Saimoh area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday, officials said.
According to officials, the incident occurred near a local school where the tractor had reportedly been parked on a slope. The boy was sitting on the vehicle when it allegedly moved and overturned under unclear circumstances.
The child sustained critical injuries and died on the spot, they said.
The deceased has been identified as Salim Ahmad Ganie (11), son of Abdul Salam Ganie, a resident of Saimoh Tral.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings.
