Srinagar, May, 20: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah Wednesday paid rich tributes to Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, remembering him as a persuasive, forceful and erudite orator whose profound scholarship, deep insight and eloquent exposition left an indelible mark on society.
Paying homage to the late Mirwaiz on his death anniversary, Dr. Farooq said, “I pay tribute to him and pray to Almighty Allah to elevate his status in Jannat.”
Recalling Mirwaiz’s immense contribution to Islamic learning, theology, and contemporary education, Dr. Farooq described him as one of the most distinguished social, political, and religious leaders of his time.
“He will always be remembered for his selfless service and unwavering dedication towards the historic Jamia Masjid. His wisdom, vision and commitment to the community continue to inspire generations,” he said.
Offering his heartfelt tributes, Dr. Farooq prayed that Almighty Allah grant the late Mirwaiz the highest place in Jannat.
