Srinagar, Jun 26: Reaffirming its commitment to inclusive social development, J&K Bank has extended financial support to Life Help Centre for Child Care (LHCCC) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Today, the Bank donated a dedicated transport vehicle along with physiotherapy equipment to the Srinagar-based NGO working for specially-abled children.
The Bank’s Deputy General Manager (CSR) Anup Bhat formally handed over the keys of the dedicated vehicle to the Secretary (LHCCC) Dr Aaliya during a brief function held at their centre in Nowgam, which was attended by other bank officials, office bearers, staff and the special children of the organisation.
Speaking about the support on the occasion, the Bank’s Deputy General Manager (CSR) said, “At J&K Bank, we believe that meaningful CSR is about creating real impact in the lives of those who need it the most. Our association with Life Help Centre for Child Care is a reflection of our deepening commitment to support critical social needs of Jammu and Kashmir – especially in sectors like child welfare, healthcare and education for the specially-abled.”
“And I really believe that the organizations, like LHCCC, that work with dedication for these specially-abled children are pursuing no less than a divine mission”, he added.
Expressing gratitude, the Secretary Dr Aaliya said, “We sincerely thank J&K Bank for this generous and timely support. For children with developmental and neurological conditions, accessibility is often the biggest challenge. This initiative will directly benefit deserving children in our society, helping them lead more empowered and dignified lives.”
Meanwhile, the support will enhance LHCCC’s transport facilities, enabling better access for children from distant and underprivileged backgrounds. It will also augment the centre’s therapy infrastructure through the provision of physiotherapy equipment
