75 Bn CRPF celebrates Republic Day in Srinagar

75th Republic Day was celebrated with great joy, fervour and enthusiasm at 75 Battalion, Srinagar. The celebration started with the hosting of Tiranga at the Quarter Guard by K K Pandey, Commandant. The ceremonial guard and all rank holders saluted the National Flag amidst parallel reverberation of the national anthem.

 Pandey, addressed the gathering on the occasion and extended warm greetings of republic day to all men and their family members. He also read out the names of all those bravehearts who were awarded with gallantry and prestigious medals on this republic day. He further added that it was a matter of great Pride and honour for 75 Battalion that two of its bravehearts Shri Narendra Yadav, 2IC and SI Vikash Yadav have been decorated with gallantry medals on this auspicious occasion.

He also said that the responsibility of internal security of the country lies on the strong shoulders of CRPF, which our jawans are fulfilling with utmost devotion, vigilance, and courage.

Undeterred by the challenging circumstances and life threatening situations in which Jawan performs their duty, He urged them to carry forward this golden lineage of courage and loyalty by keeping duty before self.

The inspiring and motivational words of the Commander were greeted by thunderous applause from all present. This was followed by distribution of sweets and exchange of greetings.

In keeping with its rich culture and tradition, AT HOME ceremony was organised for Subordinate Officers of the battalion at Gazetted Officers mess.

Finally,in the evening bada khana was organized in the messes on this auspicious occasion and all ranks enjoyed the delicacies of a rich and healthy food.

Sh Sumit Kumar, 2IC and Sh Rajesh Kumar DC along with company commanders were also present on this occasion.
