Srinagar, Jan 26: The 75th Republic Day at the 75 Battalion, Srinagar, unfolded with unparalleled joy, fervor, and enthusiasm as Commandant K K Pandey hoisted the Tiranga at the Quarter Guard, kicking off a day of solemn ceremonies and celebrations.
In a stirring address to the gathering, Commandant K K Pandey extended warm Republic Day greetings to all personnel and their families, emphasizing the pivotal role played by the CRPF in maintaining the internal security of the nation. Pandey highlighted the unwavering dedication, vigilance, and courage exhibited by the jawans in the face of challenging and life-threatening situations.
The ceremony took a poignant turn as Pandey honored the bravehearts of the 75 Battalion, reading out the names of those awarded gallantry and prestigious medals on this auspicious occasion. Notably, the Commandant expressed immense pride in acknowledging the valor of 2IC Narendra Yadav and SI Vikash Yadav, both of whom received gallantry medals.
Undeterred by the perils they face, Pandey urged the jawans to uphold the golden lineage of courage and loyalty by prioritizing duty over self. The Commander’s motivational words were met with thunderous applause from the assembled ranks.
Following the ceremony, sweets were distributed, and greetings were exchanged, fostering a sense of camaraderie among the battalion members. The day’s celebrations continued with an ‘AT HOME’ ceremony for Subordinate Officers at the Gazetted Officers mess, highlighting the rich culture and tradition of the battalion.
In the evening, a grand ‘bada khana’ was organized in the messes, where all ranks indulged in the delicacies of rich and healthy food. Sumit Kumar, 2IC, Rajesh Kumar DC, and company commanders added their presence to the festivities, ensuring a memorable and uplifting Republic Day celebration for the 75 Battalion in Srinagar.
