Jammu, Nov 29: As part of the historic quartet of national level events, the 68th National School Games in the discipline of Football U-17 Boys & Girls will begin with a formal opening ceremony at Sainik School Nagrota, here.
Over 700 players and officials drawn from 37 teams across the country will be taking part in the boys category starting tomorrow, while an equal number of footballers is expected to take part in the girls category championship commencing from December 6 to December 10, 2024.
The conclusion of this event will make an end to the Government’s historic decision of holding a month-long series of 68th National School Games in the disciplines of Judo, Fencing, Wushu and Football.
Almost all the teams registered for the event have reached Jammu and received a rousing reception on their arrival.
“The successful conduct of these games portrays the picture of the commitment of the Government towards promoting sports in every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir,” said the organisers.
