Srinagar, Aug 10: The 61 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) marked its 46th Raising Day with a grand celebration. The event was graced by Ajay Kumar Yadav, Inspector General of the CRPF’s Srinagar Sector, who served as the Chief Guest. Senior CRPF officers from across the Valley also attended the function.
The celebrations commenced with a cultural night and a traditional “Bara Khana” for personnel and their families. Ajay Kumar Yadav, IPS, addressed the gathering, where he distributed trophies and rewards to CRPF personnel and children of the cultural team. In his speech, he praised the unit’s dedication and commitment to serving the nation, particularly in maintaining law and order and carrying out counter-insurgency operations in Srinagar.
Sudhanshu Shekhar, Commandant of 61 Bn CRPF, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest and highlighted the battalion’s significant achievements and contributions to the region. The 46th Raising Day celebration was a momentous occasion, underscoring the battalion’s unwavering commitment to protecting the country and serving the community.
