Shopian , May 21 : Five persons were injured after a vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a ditch near Peer Ki Gali along the Mughal Road in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday, officials said.
According to officials, a Swift car bearing registration number JK12D-2286 met with the accident Peer Ki Gali while travelling along the Mughal Road. In the incident, two persons sustained critical injuries, while three others suffered minor injuries.
Soon after the accident, locals and rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. All the injured were evacuated from the vehicle and shifted to District Hospital Shopian for treatment.
Police have also reached the spot and taken cognisance of the incident.
