4th J&K UT Yogasana Sports Championship 2023-2024 concludes

Srinagar, Oct 25: The 4th Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (J&K UT) Yogasana Sports Championship for the year 2023-2024, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council in partnership with the Jammu and Kashmir Yogasana Sports Association, reached its grand culmination at the Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Stadium in Srinagar. 

This prestigious championship showcased the exceptional talents of Yogasana athletes across sub-junior, junior, and senior categories, encompassing both boys and girls as well as men and women.

Over 300 participants from all 18 districts of the Jammu and Kashmir UT demonstrated their prowess in a diverse range of events within the championship. The resounding success of the championship attracted an enthusiastic audience from all corners of Jammu and Kashmir UT.

Dr. Raqib Rassol Parray, the General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Yogasana Sports Association, and Organizing Secretary Basit Wani, along with other prominent office bearers of the association, played pivotal roles in ensuring the smooth execution of the 4th J&K Yogasana Sports Championship 2023-2024.

Nuzhat Gul, Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, graced the event as the chief guest and awarded prizes to the deserving champions.  Gul emphasized the significance of Yogasana sports for both physical and mental well-being and passionately encouraged the Yogasana athletes by providing them a platform to exhibit their remarkable talents within the UT championship.

Distinguished guests at the event included Sheikh Riyaz Ahmad, Administrative Officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council; Shabir Ahmad Dar, Senior Yoga Coach of J&K Sports Council; Dr. Imran; Hilal Ahmad, Manager of the Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Stadium; Mohammad Altaf Bhat, Competition Manager; and Adil Khan.

In recognition of their outstanding performances, Miss Toiba Nazir, representing Srinagar District, and Bilal Ahmed Dar, hailing from Budgam District, were named the best players of the championship in the male and female categories.

The Organizing Secretary expressed gratitude to J&K Bank for their unwavering support in facilitating the successful organization of this championship.
