4rd National Sky-running championship held at Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 03: JK Skyrunning Association, a constituent of Foreshore Athletes, organised 4rd National Skyrunning Championship in sub- junior, junior, senior and veteran (Master Run) categories at Astanmarg, Srinagar.
As per the official the run started at 9: AM morning from Astanmarg to paragliding top and back to Astanmarg at 11 AM. Athletes from numerous Athletic clubs of the valley participated in the event.
KuldeepPatil, secretary general Sky Running Association of India was chief guest on the occasion, while as Guest of Honour were MD Expo leganga Asif Amin. Owner of Phamb Fashion ShajeeHafeez and Mir Arshid, owner of the Tops Automobile were present on the occasion.
Patil lauded the participants for making it to the venue to attend the toughest considered run.
In conclusion a medal ceremony was held where certificates were distributed among winners. Later on, a felicitation of new National champions and officials in presence of Dr Anwar HussainNagoo President Foreshore Athletes and Basharat Ahmad wani Secretary JK Skyrunning Association was held.
“The National Event being held 2nd time in JK, Athletes both male and female from across the states had participated in the event,” official said.
