33 Shortlisted For JKCA’s First-Ever Umpires Clinic With Anil Chaudhary, Vikas Dalal

Jammu, June 26: Thirty-three candidates drawn from across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have been shortlisted to attend the historic Umpires Clinics of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) to be held under the supervision of ICC Panel Umpire Anil Chaudhary and Vikas Dalal at Jammu and Srinagar separately from June 28.

The Clinic at Jammu in which 17 candidates have been shortlisted will commence on June 28 at JKCA Hostel Ground and will conclude with an exam on July 2, 2025, while the Clinic at Srinagar to be attended by 16 shortlisted candidates will get underway on July 4 and will conclude with an exam on July 8.Anil Chaudhary, Ex International Umpire/IPL Umpire has the honour of being the only Indian Umpire to do Asia Cup Final -2022 in United Arab Emirates (UAE), besides having the distinction of being the Umpire with a maximum number of games (226) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), apart from having the experience of 12 Test Matches, 27 ODI Matches, World Cup, Asia Cup and Afghanistan Premier League (APL), while Vikas Dalal got inducted into the BCCI National Panel of Umpires in 2022 after securing All India Rank-1 in BCCI Umpires Exam 2022, besides having an experience of 86 BCCI Games and officiating in the Final of inaugural edition of Delhi Premier League 2024, apart from being the resource person along with other senior BCCI faculties in Umpiring Seminars in DDCA for the last 3 years.JKCA had last conducted Umpires Clinic in 2008-09, and it is after 16 long years, the Clinic is being conducted again, however, it is historic because this time the Clinic is being conducted at both the Headquaters of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association in Jammu and Srinagar.Sapna Jamwal will be the Clinic Coordinator at Jammu, while Umar Ahmed Wani will do the same job at Srinagar.”The induction of more qualified Umpires in the cricketing system at home will surely strengthen the system at the grass-root level,” asserted Brig Anil Gupta, Member Administration JKCA.Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations and Development JKCA said that the Umpires Clinic under the overall supervision of Anil Chaudhary, ICC’s Umpire of great repute, will provide platform for aspirants to achieve perfection.
