Anantnag, May 18: In the early hours of Thursday, a fire incident in the Loktipora Arwani area in the Anantnag district of south Kashmir entirely damaged one residential building while partially damaging two others.
According to Yasir Ahmad, a local, a fire overtook the residential residence of Rayees Ahmad Wani, son of Mohd Ismail Wani, at about 5 a.m., causing substantial damage to it.
“During the incident, the gas cylinder exploded and damaged two other residential houses. The incident also partially damaged the homes of Mohd Amin Malik and Nisar Ahmad Wani,” he said.
The fire and emergency services tenders subsequently extinguished the fire along with local people, he added.
According to a fire and emergency official, three residential houses were engaged in the fire incident.
“The two-story house of Rayees Ahmad Wani was completely gutted in the fire incident, while the other two houses received partial damage,” he stated.
