3 burglars arrested in Budgam: Police

Budgam, Sept 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested three burglars and recovered stolen property in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police official from Budgam told Rising Kashmir that on September 20th, a written complaint was received by the Magam Police Station from the owner of MB Traders.
The owner reported that during the intervening night of September 19th, unidentified thieves forcibly entered his office at Agrikalan Magam and stole cigarette cartons worth Rs 5 lakh.
“Based on this report, a case FIR Number 144/2023 Under Sections 457,380 IPC was registered at the Magam Police Station and an investigation was initiated,” officials said.
He said that during the course of investigation, strenuous efforts were made and many suspects with past criminal records from different areas and outside Budgam district were put to questioning.
“During sustained questioning, three suspects namely Mohd Yaseen Hajam Son of Ghulam Mustafa Hajam Resident Trikolbal Pattan, Javid Ahmad Sheikh Son Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh Resident of Churpora Narbal and Muzaffar Ahmad Dar Son of Ghulam Mohd Dar Resident of Reshipora Hanjivera Pattan were admitted their involvement in the theft,” he said
Consequently, all the stolen goods were recovered based on their disclosure. The accused have been arrested in the instant case and further investigation into the case is going on.
