Kulgam, July 31: The 2nd Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls has so far received 7,751 forms in Kulgam from eligible voters.

Athar Aamir Khan, District Election Officer (DEO) Kulgam, said that the summary revision process aims to ensure all eligible voters are registered. The cut-off date for eligibility was July 1, 2024.

The DEO said that the revision also includes the deletion of deceased voters and making necessary corrections. The process began on 25-06-2024, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) conducting house-to-house visits.

“From July 25 to August 9, residents can file claims and objections, such as correcting mistakes in names or photos. To obtain the forms and help eligible voters, special camps were organized on July 27 and 28, with additional camps scheduled for August 3 and 4, allowing eligible voters to visit their polling stations to fill their forms on spot,” he said.

He said forms can be submitted through three mediums: the Voter’s Service Portal, the Voter Helpline application, or offline via BLO application. As of July 30, BLOs have collected more than 7,751 forms through these methods in Kulgam.

He further added that the period from July 25 to August 9 is crucial for updating voter information, filing claims, and making any necessary alterations.

All eligible voters are requested to visit the site online or to their BLOs or they can visit their respective polling station on special camp days on Saturday and Sunday and get enrolled in the electoral rolls.
