Srinagar, July 20: The stage is set for the 19th Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament 2023 (MMFT) in Srinagar, as a comprehensive review meeting was conducted at Bakshi Stadium on Thursday to ensure seamless arrangements for the upcoming sporting extravaganza. The tournament is scheduled to take place at the Synthetic Turf Ground TRC and Polo Ground from 24th to 31st July 2023.
Chaired by Shahid Mehraj DIG Armed Kashmir, the meeting saw the participation of several eminent personalities from the state’s police force, administrative officials, and prominent members of the Jammu & Kashmir Football Association. Kuldeep Handoo-DYSP (Sports) APHQ J&K presented a detailed overview of the preparations undertaken to ensure a successful and smooth conduct of the event.
With enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility, all nominated officers provided their feedback on the assigned tasks, covering various aspects essential for the successful organization of the tournament. Ensuring timely completion of the necessary arrangements emerged as a key priority during the meeting.
The 19th Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament holds immense significance as it honors the memory of the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for the nation. This edition promises to be a fitting tribute to their valor, with teams from across the region set to showcase their football prowess.
