16 drug peddlers arrested in Reasi: Police

Jammu, Dec 10: In a major drive against drugs, sixteen drug peddlers were booked by police and lodged in Jail in Reasi district of Jammu region on Tuesday.
District Police Reasi led by Paramvir Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, booked 16 drug peddlers and lodged them in District Jail Reasi, the spokesman said.
“Today, teams of District Police Reasi raided on different hotspots for drug peddling in Reasi and Katra town and picked up 10 suspected drug peddlers from Reasi Town and 06 drug peddlers from Katra town and booked them in preventive sections of BNS and lodged them in Judicial custody,” the spokesman said.

Suspected notorious drug peddlers namely Prem Singh R/O Parthal, Yash Pal Singh S/O Joginder Singh R/O Serwad Katra, Vikram Singh S/O Rumal Singh R/O Gunni Parthal Katra, Rakesh Kumar S/O Bishan Dass R/O Shiba Tehsil Nagrota, Shakeel Wani S/O Showkat Wani R/O Ujh Pul Tehsil Ramkote Kathua, Jeevan Kumar S/O Mohan Lal R/O Matyal Katra, Ghulam Ali S/O Abdul Kareem R/O Kans Khasan Tehsil and District Reasi, Rouf Mir S/O Mohd Iqbal R/O Muslim Mohalla Reasi 9) Ganesh Kumar @ Gavi S/O Prabhu Dyal R/O Seela Tehsil and distt. Reasi, TabrezHussain S/O Mohd Iqbal R/O Ward 7 Muslim Mohalla Reasi, Abhijeetsingh S/O Jamal Singh R/O Kundran, Sanjay Kumar S/O Chet Ram R/O Seela Tehsil and distt. Reasi, Bablu Kumar S/O Sham Lal R/O AgharBallian, Deepak Kumar S/O ChanderShekhar R/O Shiv Nagar Reasi, Manik Sharma S/O Yashpal Sharma R/O Trintha Reasi, Sahil Rajput S/O Lehar singh R/O Nai basti Reasi.

Most of these were earlier booked in various drug peddling cases and were continuously supplying drugs to the youth of Reasi and Katra Town.
