14th District Jammu Rope Skipping Championship concludes at KCIS

Jammu, Oct 09: KCIS organised 14th District Jammu Rope Skipping Championship 2024-25 that kicked off on and concludes with an impressive, colourful and well attended function here today.
The event was inaugurated with a grand opening ceremony including the lighting of the lamp by esteemed dignitaries; Ms Anupama Singh, Principal KCIS; Ms Babita Bhau, Activity Coordinator KCIS, Tarsem Sharma (Event Manager) and Danish Sharma (Event Manager).
The event was declared open by Principal KCIS, welcoming the participants from various schools and witnessed intense competition among participating schools, with teams showcasing their rope skipping prowess.
The second and concluding day of the championship commenced today with intense matches, as teams vied for top honors.
The ceremony began with the arrival and welcoming of esteemed dignitaries with saplings. The Chief Guest of the day was Ms. Anissa Nabi (JKAS FIT India Ambassador)with Guests of honours Ms. Anupama Sinha (Principal KCIS),Dr. Pramod Kumar Srivastava (Principal Model Academy), Dr. K C Mehta (Principal International Delhi Public School Akhnoor), Dheeraj Jamwal (Managing Director International Delhi Public School) and Special Guests were Ms. Neetu Bali (Founder and CEO of Sunder Gems & Jewels, Sunder Enterprises), Rajesh Dhar (Media Manager J&K Cricket Association)and Ms. Kirti Dhar (Senior Sports Journalist).
The audience was treated warmly with a melodious welcome song and a vibrant dance performance. A thrilling rope skipping demonstration showcased the sport’s dynamism and athleticism. The officials were felicitated for their tireless efforts and the Dignitaries were honored for their presence. The result of the matches was announced, and winners received their medals in various categories.
The Chief guests shared inspiring words and emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and fair play. The ceremony was concluded successfully and Ms. Anupama Sinha, principal KCIS expressed heartfelt gratitude to participants, guests, judges, and organizers for making the event a resounding success.
