13 tea stalls destroyed in fire in Budgam’s Khansahib

Budgam, July 22: A devastating fire incident in Khansahib tehsil of central Kashmir’s Budgam district led to the destruction of 13 tea stalls.
An official from the Khansahib Police Station informed Rising Kashmir that the fire broke out during the night between Sunday and Monday in the Raiyar area. “Following the incident, the Police team from the Khansahib police station, along with the Fire tenders team, promptly arrived at the scene and successfully brought the fire under control,” he said.
The tea sellers operated their stalls near the entrance of the popular tourist spot Doodhpathri, serving tea to both tourists and local visitors on a daily basis, the official said, adding that the fire resulted in the complete destruction of 13 tea stalls.
He said an FIR Number 127/2024 has been registered at the Police Station Khansahib regarding the fire incident.
