JAMMU, Aug 17:
Thirteen pilgrims, including 10 women, were injured when their minibus overturned near the BatalBallian area of Udhampur district. The pilgrims were returning after performing their pilgrimage to Machail Mata.
The accident occurred around 10 pm when the driver lost control of the mini-bus. Immediate response from rescue teams, aided by locals, led to the swift evacuation of all injured individuals to the Udhampur District Hospital.
Confirming the situation, SSP Udhampur, Vinod Kumar, stated that all the injured individuals are now out of danger. He also informed, “Two pilgrims who sustained injuries in the accident were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital-Jammu, as they are residents of Jammu.” Two of the injured pilgrims were subsequently shifted to GMC-Jammu for specialized medical treatment.
