Srinagar, Nov 14: In another stride towards community well-being, the 117 Battalion CRPF conducted a successful free medical camp at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Jawahar Nagar, under the Civic Action Plan of Srinagar Sector.

The camp, inaugurated by Biplab Sarkar, Commandant, 117Bn CRPF, saw the dedicated service of five doctors, including two nominated by the  Zonal Medical Officer, Batmaloo, and three from CRPF. A total of 227 walk-in patients received comprehensive medical care during the event.

In the presence of Abhiram Pankaj, Second In Command, T. Rabichandra, AC, and Raghav Ranjan Jha, AC of 117Bn, the event was marked by the gracious presence of Farooq Ahmed Raina, Principal of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Jawahar Nagar, who generously provided the school’s campus for this noble cause.

Prominent residents from the locality commended CRPF’s efforts in organizing such impactful medical camps. Notably, free medicines were distributed to all patients, enhancing the reach and impact of the initiative. The medical camp drew participants from various age groups and strata of society, benefiting children and the elderly with winter-induced ailments. For chronic conditions, expert consultation advice was given, and the unit remains committed to following up on such cases to provide ongoing support.

Dr. Bisharia, DIG Medical, Group Centre, CRPF, Srinagar, visited the medical camp and supervised the doctors, ensuring the highest standards of medical care. On this occasion, DIG Medical also handed over a first aid kit with essential medicines to the principal for the school’s use.
Biplab Sarkar, Commandant 117Bn CRPF, expressed gratitude to the Zonal Medical Officer, Batmaloo, and his team for their valuable contribution throughout these medical camps.

This marked the fifth medical camp by the unit in the last couple of months, emphasizing CRPF’s commitment to reaching out to the local community and providing free medical assistance.
Biplab Sarkar reiterated that such initiatives allow CRPF to connect with locals, hear their concerns, and extend aid to the best of their abilities.
The success of this medical camp underscores CRPF’s dedication to community welfare, and the unit looks forward to continued collaboration with local partners for future initiatives.
