Women have to face a lot of challenges in day to day life. From taxing issues of growth and development, biological issues of menstruation, hormonal changes, pregnancy to a multitude of psychosomatic issues take a considerable toll of their physical and mental well-being.Â
The main physical issues pertaining to young women range from menstrual irregularities and dysmenorrhea to pcos , metabolic syndrome and infertility. Pregnancy related problems like anemia , gestational hypertension to diabetes. And later on grave issues like breast and genital cancers.Â
Last but not least psychosomatic issues like depression, anxiety and psychosis pose a significant threat to overall women health.Â
The remedy lies in healthy lifestyle from a very young age, smart diet with low calories and high fiber and protein, regular exercise and a peaceful and soothing family environment. Early diagnosis and treatment of above mentioned health issues is vital. The role of heath awareness among women and their caretakers when in adolescent phase is need of the hour.
Proper and timely consultation with appropriate healthcare providers like dermatologists, gynaecologists, radiologists, psychiatrists and general physicians is mandatory for redressal of such issues. Women deserve more as they say a healthy woman is akin to a healthy and productive society.
