Weekly Handholding sessions on Ministry of MSME GoI Schemes commence

Shopian, Dec 01: To benefit the MSMEs, Br - MSME Development and Facilitation office Srinagar under the Ministry of MSME GOI started weekly handholding sessions on schemes of M/O MSME.
Speaking during the inaugural session, Assistant Director MSME SaheelAlaqband said that the initiative has been taken keeping in view that many entrepreneurs are unaware of the recently introduced/ modified schemes of the Ministry of MSME and only awareness about them will not help.
Manufacturing or Service based MSMEs need complete hand-holding for availing schemes and therefore, weekly hand-holding sessions covering as many MSMEs as possible will be conducted so that it will benefit them, he added.
During the inaugural programme, three schemes were presented which involved the Procurement and Marketing Support Scheme, MSME Sustainable (Zed) and MSME Innovative Scheme.
Few Entrepreneurs applied on spot during the programme as the whole process is made online by the Ministry. Besides technical guidance, the MSMEs will be in a position to avail reimbursement after availing of bar code/ trademark/ patent etc as per the guidelines of the scheme.
The hand-holding session was attended by entrepreneurs of different industrial estates inthe Kashmir region.
