Vijay Bakaya urges govt to hold assembly elections in J&K at earliest

Srinagar, Oct 16: Apni Party’s general secretary and senior KP leader Vijay BakayaSunday urged the government to ensure the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest. 
He also asked Apni Party leaders and workers to remain in touch with the masses at the grass root level and enhance their public outreach in their respective areas.
Vijay Bakaya was addressing a public rally in the Khour area of Jammu.
According to a press statement issued here, while addressing the rally, Vijay Bakaya said, “In a democracy, people have the right to elect their own representative and they should not be deprived of this right for a longer period of time. The government must ensure assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest so that people can send their elected representatives to the assembly.”
Bakaya also urged the party cadre to prepare for the elections and remain in touch with the masses in their respective areas. 
He said, “Since Apni Party is a party for the masses, we ought to be in touch with people at the grass root level.”
He appealed to workers and leaders to keep themselves available to serve the people and ensure the public issues and grievances are brought to the notice of the concerned officials for a quick redressal.”
