Vaccines every woman need

 Women should receive annual assessment of infection risks due to health, occupation, age, lifestyle, travel and history of vaccination. 

Following vaccines are recommended for women:
1.Human Pappiloma Virus(HPV) vaccine
The Vaccine is recommended for the women under the age of 26 years ,early adolescent girls should receive the HPV vaccinations ideally, one should recieve HPV vaccine before their first sexual contact.
2.Influenza Vaccine
Children 6 months of age or older should recieve the influenza vaccine each fall or winter. Women who plan a pregnancy during flu season should also be vaccinated. 
3.Varicella
Women of childbearing age who are non-pregnant and who are non-immune to varicella ( chicken pox)  should be vaccinated against varicella. This vaccine is recommended for adults aged 50 and above. Varicella vaccine is contraindicated in pregnant women. 
4. Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Td/Tdap) 
Women of childbearing age should go for their vaccination during the current pregnancy. Pregnant women who have not recieved  these vaccines within the last decade might need a vaccination during the current pregnancy. 
Remember do not get vaccinated if you have any prior history of reactions to vaccines. Discuss with your doctor for possible AEFIs before undergoing vaccination. Vaccinate yourself at registered Government affiliated Hospitals or Clinics only.
