Take advantage of HADP training: Dir Fisheries to farmers

Ganderbal, Apr 24: Director Fisheries (Special Secretary, APD), who is also the Mission Director and Supervisor for HADP in district Ganderbal, on Monday visited various venues to take stock of the programmes being run under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme.
The farmers’ training under the HADP was kick-started on Monday in all districts of Jammu & Kashmir. The programme is aimed at imparting training to farmers and acquainting them about the 29 farming projects approved by the apex level committee.
In Ganderbal, four programmes were conducted at four venues in Panchayat Theru, Wayil, Margund and Surfraw. It was attended by the farmers of different trades, unemployed youth and PRI members who applauded the efforts of the government to include all sects of society for the overall uplift of the agricultural economy.
On the occasion, Director Fisheries emphasised the need and importance of holistic agricultural development and instructed the farmer community to take maximum advantage of the knowledge being imparted to them through videos and technical discussions with the resource persons.
Director Fisheries also instructed resource persons to be time-bound, area-specific and technically helpful to the farming community.
