Srinagar, Nov 11: Reacting to the release of remaining killers of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, former J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir Friday termed the decision as contrary to the sacrifices of the martyr and against the spirit of India.
Former JKPCC President termed Supreme Court’s decision to free the killers of former PM as “totally unacceptable” and “disrespect” to the sacrifices of the martyr, who has given his life for the country.
It was very unfortunate and shocking to learn about the Supreme Court’s decision, Mir added and said the deliverance of justice has not been maintained on this count.
Mir appealed the Supreme Court to revoke the decision as that will be the respect and recognition “in true sense” to the sacrifices of former PM, besides a great favour to the spirit of India, he averred.
