Sports Council in collaboration with RSAJK organises rope skiing in Jmu

Srinagar, May 21: Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council in Collaboration with RSAJK on Saturday oganises rope skipping workshop in Jammu.
The workshop was a part of My Youth My Pride, a special sports initiative of the J & K Sports Council. 
According to officials, the J & K Sports Council, in collaboration with KC International School, Jammu and the Rope Skipping Association of J & K, organised a "ROPE SKIPPING WORKSHOP". More than 500 students participated in the program, which aimed to engage youth in sports and instil a sense of well-being and a healthier society. 
The workshop was conducted under the watchful eyes of Danish Sharma, National A Grade Referee and Technical Director RSAJK, along with his skippers' team comprising of Nitin Kumar, Zayin Dobriyal, Rudrakshit Gupta, Sudiksha Sharma, and Anirudh Verma, Principal KCIS, besides Sonal Gupta, Middle wing Coordinator, and Achint Kour, CCA Coordinator, were also present in the workshop along with the teachers and students of Middle wing, KCIS. 
Anupama Sinha, Principal of the school, while speaking on the occasion, encouraged the skipper team and congratulated them for their initiative, adding a note of special appreciation for the J & K Sports Council's My Youth My Pride initiative. 
 
 Rope skipping, according to Sports Council Secretary, is an excellent form of exercise and a fun way for kids to get creative while moving. exercise is excellent for improving cardio-respiratory fitness, coordination and balance, strengthening muscles and making bones stronger." 
She said more such unique initiatives under the banner of My Youth My Pride activities are in the pipeline and this year the Sports Council is aiming to extend the reach to more far-off places and include more youth under the banner of special initiatives.
