Shalbugh Blasters emerge Champions, defeats Strong Ganderbal Gymkhana by 52 runs

Ganderbal, Dec 01: Shalbugh Blasters on Wednesday emerged as Champions in T-20 Blast Shalbugh Edition 2nd while defeating Strong Ganderbal Gymkhana by 52 runs in the final clash here at Shalbugh Ganderbal.
Shalbugh Blasters captain, Urfee while winning  the toss opted to bat first.
The opening duo of Shalbugh Adil Reshi and Adil Zahoor while giving a dream start to the team added 151 runs for the first wicket. The partnership between the duo turned into a strong foundation for the big total.
Adil Reshi was the first one to depart after contributing 57 runs.On other the end, Adil Zahoor played scintillating inning and scored 93 runs off just 46 balls.In the end,  Saleem Dar contributed 22 runs off 10 balls.Shalbugh Blasters posted mammoth target of 206 runs on board for Ganderbal Gymkhana to chase down.
From Ganderbal Gymkhana the skipper Danish Muzaffar took 4 wickets for his team. 
While chasing the target of 206 runs,  Strong Ganderbal Gymkhana got a shaky start and their wickets fell at regular intervals.Adil Reshi demolished the top order with his lethal bowling spell.It was then difficult for team Ganderbal Gymkhana to make comeback in the game.
The team got bundled out on 153 runs in 19.3 overs.Sayir with 27 runs and Saifu-ud-din  37 runs were the top scorers. Shalbugh Blasters won the final by 53 runs.For Shalbugh Blasters  Captain Urfee took 4 and Adil Reshi took 3 wickets.
Adil Reshi was declared as player of the match for his match winning show and Adil Zahoor bagged player of the Tournament award.
The tournament was organised by Shalbugh cricket Board. The Winning team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 50000/- and a trophy whereas the Runner up was awarded with a cash prize of Rs.15000/-  and a trophy.
Individual trophies were also distributed among the players of both the teams. 48 teams across the valley participated in this event.
