Ganderbal, Apr 25: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan arrived in Kashmir to shoot for his upcoming movie ‘Dunki’ at the famous health resort Sonamarg in this central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday evening.
The actor previously visited Kashmir for the shooting of Yash Chopra’s ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ in 2012.
Khan, who along with actor Taapsee Pannu and the crew arrived at a hotel in Sonamarg, will be filming a song sequence for the film which is directed by renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani.
Sonamarg has been one of the favourite shooting locales for Bollywood. In the past, Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’, Yash Chopra’s ‘Silsila’ and many other famous films have been shot there.
The shoot began on Tuesday at Thajwas side, an official said, adding that the shooting will take place at many other places in Sonamarg also.
Authorities have made elaborate security arrangements for the crew. Hundreds of Shah Rukh Khan’s fans have arrived in Sonamarg to catch a glimpse of the superstar.
