Poonch, Feb 19: Apni Party District President, Poonch and former legislator Shah Mohammed Tantray Sunday demanded holding of Assembly Elections and restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a party convention at Salotri Panchayat in Poonch Block, the Tantray said that the Assembly Elections are to be held to end the suffering of the people as the people in both the regions have suffered for the last four years because of no elected Govt in place.
He appealed to people to join the Apni party and strengthen the hands of Altaf Bukhari who has a very clear agenda for the welfare of the people and has shown his capability as Finance, Education and PWD Minister.
Earlier during the convention Capt Balraj Datta (Shurya Chakra) and many people including women joined the Party in presence of Shah Mohammed Tantry.
He welcomed them into the party fold and hoped that their joining would strengthen the party. He said that “Apni party is committed to respect, regard women folk on all fronts.”
