Srinagar, Sept 22: The Commissioner/Secretary to Government, ARI & Training Department, Shabnam Kamsli, today visited the Government Press, Srinagar to review its overall functioning. According to a statement issued here, she was accompanied by Tasaduq Hussain Mir, Special Secretary, ARI & Training Department, and Shahid Majid Kakroo, Director Finance.

During the visit, the Commissioner/Secretary took stock of various sections of the Press, including Printing, Binding, DTP, and Proof Reading. She interacted with the officers and staff and reviewed the day-to-day functioning, work output, and infrastructural facilities available in the Department.

She emphasised the importance of adopting modern technology and upgrading existing machinery to further improve the efficiency of the department.

The Commissioner/Secretary expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the Government Press and appreciated  Aijaz Ahmad Akhoon, General Manager, Government Press Srinagar, along with the officers and staff, for their dedicated efforts in meeting the printing requirements of different Government Departments. She assured that the Government would provide necessary support for the modernization and strengthening of the Press.
