Afshan, a teacher working in a government school in Srinagar said that the enrollment drives have always been a priority for the School Education Department.
“The enrollment drives have always been going on and are voluntarily done by the teaching staff. By creating awareness among parents through motivation camps, roping in community leaders and children rallies, one can get positive results. In the future, the government should also think about upgrading the infrastructure of the schools that are working in space crunch. Some of the government schools have good infrastructure and the teachers of those schools are admitting their children in the same schools which is a good step towards increasing the enrolment of the school,” she said.
