SDA proposes 04 more community halls in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 22: In order to enhance the requirements of the families of Srinagar city who are not in a position to accommodate their marriage or other ceremonies due to the dearth of space, Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) has planned to construct four more community halls on modern lines in the city, said an official on Friday.
An official from the SDA department told Rising Kashmir that keeping in view the growing requirements of the families of Srinagar City for accommodating marriages or other ceremonies, SDA has proposed to construct an additional four more community halls in the city.
“We already have community halls at Boatman Colony Bemina, Rajouri Kadal, Gonikhan, and another space at Bemina. The halls are presently operational and in use by the general public for the use of marriages or other ceremonies. We are adding four more community halls at Noorbagh, Bemina, Batamaloo, and Chatabal area of Srinagar”, said an official.
The official said that the department keeps on upgrading the existing community halls as per the requirements, however, he added that the new upcoming four community halls are going to be on modern lines with the latest technology and as per the master plan proposed by the SDA department with a maximum of facilities for those availing the facilities.
The official added that the existing community halls have halls on each floor, washrooms for ladies and gents, green rooms, a shed facility for Chef (Waza) for cooking, and a separate space for parking.
