Jammu, Nov 06: AamAadmi Party (AAP) in Jammu and Kashmir has expressed serious concern over rising cases of Dengue in Jammu terming callous approach of Jammu and Kashmir Government and concerned department as a serious lapse and advised Government to gear up for preventive measures and specific treatment for patients of Dengue in hospitals.
In a press statement, AAP said that cases of dengue are on rise in Jammu with 6048 infected cases reported so far and over a dozen deaths which shows that situation is not good by anyhow and things are getting grim.
"Dengue is a serious health issue as it causes sudden drop of both blood platelets and WBCs causing panic like state and such patients need immediate medical aid."
AAP said adding that proper medical aid and treatment is urgent for such patients.
We appeal to the Jammu and Kashmir Government to ensure that all preventive measures are taken up for dengue infection and fumigation is ensured in proper manner instead of fumigation of publicity that is done with publicity.
"Fumigation is not satisfactory and the Government should ensure that proper fumigation is done as the Government is acting in a callous manner creating a serious situation of dengue," AAP stated.
It further mentioned that the Government should ensure proper healthcare facilities of patients and there should be designated dengue wards in every secondary and tertiary care hospital so that a dengue patient gets immediate care and treatment after reaching hospital which however is not there.
AAP also condoled the demise of member of Youth Wing and Youth Secretary of Samba District, NeerajKundal who passed away due to Dengue.
