Real Kashmir beats Aizawl to go top of I-League

Kolkata, Feb 23: Real Kashmir FC defeated Aizawl FC 3-1 at the VYBK Stadium, Kolkata on Tuesday to go to the top of the I-League    

Lukman Adefemi’s opener in the first half was topped by Mason Robertson’s brace in the second to help Real Kashmir get the better of the high flying Aizawl FC.

Aizawl had taken the lead through Lalremsanga, who capitalised on a defensive error by Real Kashmir in the 26th minute of the game.

But thanks to Lukman Adefemi's strike in the 34th minute, followed by two goals from Robertson in the 56th and 72nd minutes, Real Kashmir managed to go to the top of the points table with 17 points. RKFC is unbeaten in nine games, while Churchill Brothers FC Goa is second with 16 points from eight games, and RoundGlass Punjab FC third with 15 points from nine games.

Real Kashmir FC have scored 18 goals in the I-League, which is the highest number of goals scored by any team so far.
