Srinagar, July 19: Ex MLA and Apni Party (AP) District President, Anantanag Abdul Rahim Rather visited Migrant Colony in Vesu-Qazigund in the Anantnag District and interacted with the PM Package employees and their families.
A statement from the party said, during the meeting, Rather took account of the situation and showed dismay over the mismanagement in terms of safe accommodation and rehabilitation of the minority community.
Besides the visit, Rather called upon LG Administration and demanded safe space and proper accommodation for the migrants and stated that the false promises of Public Darbars has further worsened the state of Kashmiri Pandits. He also demanded posting of such employees to safer places so that they can continue their jobs with a sense of security.
"Today's visit aimed at reviewing the situation at the migrant Colony in Vesu-Qazigund. I am totally dismayed over the poor infrastructure and living conditions of the minority community. LG administration had promised that they would hold the Public Darbars to address the grievances of the KPs however it is a matter of dismay to know that till date no such Darbars have been set up. Taking in view the unprecedented times, these employees should be given safe accommodation and better facilities so that they can continue their daily activities," Rather said.
