‘Project Zimmedari’ transforming schools into impressive learning centers: Dr Darakhshan

Srinagar, Nov 24: Chairperson J&K Waqf Board Dr Darakhshan Andrabi on Thursday visited north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and discussed details of the novel project ‘Zimmedari’ with Deputy Commissioner Doifode Sagar Dattatray.
She also met the team of Parimal Foundation which is executing the ‘Zimmedari’ project in Kupwara and hailed the efforts of the Deputy Commissioner for starting the novel project in the district. ‘Zimmedari’ is a project of filling the infrastructural gaps in schools and uplifting the academic environment in rural schools.
Dr Darakhshan Andrabi and Deputy Commissioner Dattatray visited many schools to inspect the initiatives taken under the project to transform the school environment. Magistrate of Waqf Board Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin also accompanied the team.
The Waqf Board Chairperson visited Boys Higher Secondary School Kupwara, Girls High School Drugmulla and Boys Higher Secondary School Sogam, and took stock of the project assessment, the vision of transformation and upliftment of schools. She talked to teachers, educational experts, students, parents and district administration representatives.
“Project Zimmedari is transforming schools into impressive learning centers with an uplift in infrastructure, creation of inspiring environ and schooling results,” Dr Andrabi said, adding that the vision of Deputy Commissioner D S Dattatray is “praiseworthy”.
“The project has the plan and potential to upgrade our curricular and extra-curricular activities in our schools,” she said and hailed the concept of innovation and digitisation modules for skill orientation for youth. “Kupwara will serve as a centre of inspiration for other districts to follow,” she added.
