Post Covid times, maiden Hajj flight to take off from Srinagar airport on Saturday

Srinagar, June 01: After the gap of two years, the first Hajj flight will take off from Srinagar International Airport on Saturday, officials said.
Director, Airports Authority of India, Srinagar, Kuldeep Singh on Wednesday said after a long break of two COVID years, the Hajj flights will commence from the airport on June 5th.
Sharing the tentative schedule of flights from Srinagar airport to Jeddah, he said, “From June 5th to June 9th, there will be a single flight daily, on June 10th there will be two flights.
“While from June 11th to June 20th there will be three flights each day,” the Director said.
The administration has finalized arrangements regarding the Hajj pilgrimage in Kashmir.
This year 5902 persons, including 5700 from Jammu and Kashmir and 202 from Ladakh are going on the holy pilgrimage.
