Bandipora Apr 11: District Administration Bandipora on Tuesdayconducted a voter awareness campaign as part of the Systematic Voter Education Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme in collaboration with the District Election office Bandipora. The event took place at Wullar vintage Bandipora and witnessed the participation of newly-enrolled voters, youth and local populace.
The event turned into a celebration with the inclusion of sports activities like boat racing and a cricket match to ensure maximum participation of eligible voters. The boat race, which was held for the first time, was aimed at generating awareness among people.
The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed, was present as the chief guest, along with Padmashri Faisal Ali Dar as the brand ambassador of SVEEP activities District Bandipora, Nodal Officer Coordination Mohd Ashraf Hakak, Functional Manager DIC Bandipora Mehraj Wani and other concerned.
In his address, Dr. Owais Ahmed emphasized the district administration’s vision of improving the voting percentage through SVEEP activities. He stressed the need for conducting more such events to engage youth in sports activities, explore new places and raise intensive awareness among voters under SVEEP. Dr. Owais also expressed the district administration’s commitment to developing more sports infrastructure for the benefit of local youth.
The event was a success in raising awareness among peopleand encouraging them to participate in the voting process. The inclusion of sports activities added a unique flavor to the campaign and made it more enjoyable for the participants.
Jammu and Kashmir SQAY Association to conduct selection trials for All India SQAY National Championship
Srinagar, Apr 11: Jammu and Kashmir SQAY Association is gearing up for the upcoming All India SQAY National Championship by conducting selection trials/screening for SQAY athletes. The selection process will take place on April 15 at Pologround Srinagar at 10 A.M.
Jammu and Kashmir SQAY Association in a statement said that the trials will be held in a fair and transparent manner, ensuring that all participants have an equal opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities. A selection committee comprising experienced SQAY coaches and judges will assess the participants’ performance objectively. The committee will evaluate the participants’ performance and select players based on the scores given.
The statement further said that the selection process will be fair and transparent, keeping in mind the spirit of sportsmanship. After the selection process, the results will be communicated to all participants. This will ensure that the best performers make it to the finals, creating an exciting competition for all to watch.
All interested participants need to bring their recent passport size photographs, date of birth certificate, Aadhar card, medical certificate, and consent of the parent. With the trials just around the corner, the Jammu and Kashmir SQAY Association is looking forward to selecting the best athletes to represent the state at the upcoming All India SQAY National Championship in Delhi.
