Pol leaders wish people prosperous Eid, pray for peace, stability

Srinagar, May 02: Political leaders extended warm greetings to people Monday on Eid-ul-Fitr. This Eid (celebration) marks the culmination of the month of fasting Ramazan and the beginning of the new month of Islamic lunar calendar.  
BJP J&K general secretary-organization Ashok Koul wished that the special occasion will further the spirit of brotherhood and compassion.
“I hope that this Eid is a harbinger of peace, prosperity and development for the people of Kashmir,” Koul said.
BJP youth leader and Kashmir Media Incharge Manzoor Bhat also extended wishes to the Muslim Ummah. "May the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr deepen the spirit of brotherhood and bring happiness and peace to all,” he said.
In his message, the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Ghulam Ahmad Mir said the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr shall continue to lead people to the path of truthfulness and righteousness. He hoped that the occasion shall usher in an era of peace, stability and prosperity of the people of J&K & Ladakh.
Peoples’ Conference (PC) chairman Sajad Gani Lone extended warm greetings and good wishes to the people on the auspicious occassion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In his message, Lone hoped that Eid-ul-Fitr will bring peace and prosperity and strengthen unity among the people of J&K. 
"We as a society are duty-bound to help each other amidst the trying circumstances and ensure that those who are less fortunate, destitute, and needy get our helping hand on this auspicious day," he added.
Peoples’ Democratic state youth secretary, Arif Laigroo prayed that this Eid fill our lives with joy and happiness and turn into a harbinger of prosperous times ahead. 
Chairman Peoples’ Democratic Front (PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen hoped this Eid brings along everlasting peace, happiness and prosperity to the people of strife torn Jammu and Kashmir.
PDF Chairman has prayed that the month-long fasting and the night-long supplications made during the holly Ramadan are accepted and rewarded by the Almighty. 
Janta Dal (U) president G M Shaheen said that the festival is aimed to celebrate the strength and courage that the Almighty bestowed on the people to observe month long fast during Ramazan. "I wish the people of Jammu and Kashmir a very happy and prosperous Eid. On this day I would pray for peace, happiness and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Shaheen said.
Peoples’ Conference (PC) senior vice-president and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil said, “On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to people of the state. May this Eid be the harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity and strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood in our state.” 
Apni Party (AP) vice-president and former Cabinet Minister Javed Mustafa Mir, in his message, highlighted the rich ethos of Jammu and Kashmir of celebrating festivals and holy occasions in an atmosphere of brotherhood and amity. He expressed the hope that this characteristic of the region would get further strengthened.
BJP senior leader and chief spokesperson for party's Minority Morcha Hilal Jan prayed the month long fasting and the night long supplications of the faithful are accepted and rewarded by the Almighty. He hoped the spirit of generosity, discipline and piety generated through the Holy month is carried hereafter by people in day to day life as well.
