Philanthropist Dr Feroz's diagnostic centre soothes wallet of poor

Philanthropist Dr Feroz Naqshabandi, 45, is a household name in the Valley when it comes to giving “free and affordable” treatment and diagnostic facilities to people through his “charitable” venture Haya Diagnostic and Research Centre.
The journey of his philanthropy began in 2001 when he opened a small Unani clinic in Nowgam area after completing his BUMS degree.
A native of Rainawari, Srinagar, Dr Naqshabandi said, “I used to receive scores of financially weak and helpless patients at my clinic for many years. Seeing the financial situation of my visitors I decided to start a sustainable and affordable treatment and testing facility for them in Srinagar.”
Thus came “Haya Diagnostic and Research Centre” in Batamaloo Srinagar into existence.
As per the doctor the sole aim of opening the center was to benefit people coming from humble backgrounds.
Dr. Naqshabandi’s claims that his center is considered as the part of leading facilities in J&K in terms of the range and quality of diagnostics.
Besides, it is also famous for offering massive discounts of around 40 to 60 percent on testing and imaging facilities.
The center is running its affairs under Haya Charitable Foundation with its lab having state-of-the-art equipment and a complete range of diagnostic facilities. The lab has the facility to conduct all sorts of tests including Hematology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Serology, Pathology, Microbiology and many more at low prices.
"There are scores of ailing people in the society who need a helping hand. We are trying to be one by giving a 60 percent discount on all investigations including USG and X-Ray," said Dr Naqshabandi.
"Some people even get free tests done if they belong to BPL families," the doctor added.
By delivering the most accurate reports over the years, Haya Diagnostic and Research Centre has earned the reputation of being amongst the most trustworthy Diagnostic and Research Centres in the Valley.
The philanthropist boasts that the experience and patient loyalty gained over the last 10 years have made his centre the number one diagnostic facility in Kashmir.
Dr Naqshabandi said that his mission was to contribute to the well-being of the society by enabling medical professionals to make the right diagnoses through cutting edge technology.
According to him, his vision envisages being the most trusted and dynamic leader in the diagnostic industry.
“We provide accurate and precise diagnostic, prognostic and predictive testing services in a timely manner,” he said.
The doctor claims that he upholds professional values at his work place and ensures that his employees are treated in a professional manner. “I make sure that every employee is treated with dignity, respect, in a fair and equitable manner.”
According to the doctor, such working conditions help in creating a stimulating, enabling and supportive work atmosphere. Besides, he added that upholding professional values also aid and encourage employees in realizing their full potential.
Now he has started another venture on the same lines and named it Dr Ferovas Labs and Imaging near SKIMS Soura.
