Srinagar, Mar 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Department on Saturday constituted a five members committee to investigate illegal/fake appointments in the health department.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of the committee comprising of following officers to monitor the exercise of identifying/ revisiting the illegal appointments in Health Department as reported by Audit and Inspection Department and all other illegal appointments,” the H&ME Department said in an order.
The order said the committee will take a policy decision once for all to settle the issue by applying a common yardstick to 2,274 employees and also take a decision against the officers/officials, who were involved in the illegal appointments in the Health Department.
Director Finance, Health and Medical Education Department will head the committee as chairman while Additional Secretary to the Government, H&ME, Additional Secretary (law), H&ME, Under Secretary to Government, H&ME and Section Officer, H&ME are the members of the committee.
As per the order the committee has been asked to submit its report within 30 days from the issuance of the order.
