Secretary Estates Department, M. Raju, today visited Government quarters to inspect the arrangements put in place for the move employees ahead of the opening of civil secretariat and other move offices in the winter capital Jammu, a press statement said.
The Secretary was accompanied by Director Estates, SubashChibber, Deputy Director Estates Mohammad Alyas Khan, Executive Engineer Jagdish Gupta and other officers of the Estates department.
During his visit to residential government quarters at Ahata Poonch House Panjtirthi, Ahata Amar Singh, New BC road,Sarwal and Muthi, the Secretary took stock of basic amenities for the move employees. He took round of government quarters and inspected the ongoing renovation works. The concerned officers briefed him about the work done so far as well as the future work plan. He directed the concerned officers to expedite the work as per the quality norms. He also took stock of power, water, sanitation, security and other services at residential colonies and directed the concerned departments to ensure adequate facilities.
The Secretary asked the Estates Department to further gear up men and machinery for timely completion of ongoing repair and renovation works. He also passed directions for development of parks and green spaces in the premises of the residential quarters.
