Morals and value system is what made human civilizations deserve the status of being called as the masters of all the creations. However it never does take out his supreme ability to utilize his grey matter to rule others out. There can be no denial of the fact that human beings inculcate the pattern of living from their preceding generations but surprisingly it has not been same in terms of instilling of morals and values. Decline in value system is a matter of concern not only to those who were obedient during their days but also to those who foresee the consequences of the same.

There can be two reasons for this. Either man is becoming a weak learner or the life is taken to be very short with a belief that what is being sown with fun will not carry a threat to be reaped. Man in today’s world has become an individualistic to its truest sense. The self is all what matters. We see lot of people talking about “practicality” or for that matter “the practical way of life” and more often than not it is suggested to be the success mantra.

Well, being practical is by no means wrong but there is a valid argument for this, who defines what is practicality? Or what has it to do with morals and values? Well talking about the contemporary world practicality stands for like moving out to metros in search of a job and coming back with some status (provided if coming back) financial or otherwise. However the departure being at the time of ailing parents who are looking for their son to comfort them with his mere presence does not matter. Moving out in search of a job and earning status is never wrong by any means but priority is what matters and what makes that priority a priority is a matter of debate?

The dynamic nature of variables and global influence of materialism in today’s world makes this definition of practicality acceptable or a kind of necessary evil. How many of us these days are concerned about the retake of ill sown seeds of morals and values. Where does the concept of practicality go when it comes to morality? We sacrifice something for status, we acquire but what is being sacrificed makes up for a trend. So let’s not be flabbergasted for the retake when the time takes its own shift.

It imperative as well as inevitable for an individual to finally bulge out of the individualistic cocoon and believe in social attributes to respect the sanctity of life. The menace of individualism will lead us to the world of isolation breeding the red of blood. Survival for one will demand killing of the other. Scenario no better than a jungle law to say the least and that will be the day when the crown of being master of all the creations will be taken away from the proud man and animals will overtake earth by wiping them off.
