The Mediterranean diet has been scientifically proven to be the best diet in the world, and this is because of it being plant based. It contains a lot of vegetables, fruits, plant proteins, whole grains and plant derived oils and fats.

Plant based diets have nutrients that no other food can provide:

•      They are loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory phytochemicals, minerals and vitamins

•      They help maintain weight as they are mostly low calorie dense

•      They add fibre, both soluble and insoluble. There is conclusive evidence to support the benefits of fibre for health.

•      They are proven to reduce the risk of Non communicable diseases, improve immunity and protect against infections
