We all want healthy shining thick hair. Well, here are the important nutrients and foods that help.

  1. Lean proteins: Hair is protein and egg is probably the best hair protein, in addition it has Lutein and zeaxanthin AND biotin which help hair health.   Salmon, soy beans, legumes, and milk are also sources of protein.
  2. Omega -3 Fats prevent hair loss and foster healthy growth, Sources like fish, nuts, flax seeds, walnuts, soy beans.
  3. Nuts are sources of protein, healthy fats, biotin and zinc all aid in a healthy scalp hence stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss. 
  4. Iron: Anaemia causes hair loss, and poor quality hair. Spinach, green leafy vegetables, meats are good sources of iron and add minerals like zinc also.
