NSS SMVDU holds ‘Shramdaan’ activity

Jammu, March 29: NSS Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVDU) organized a Shramdaan activity in Sirah village with a main focus on the cleanliness drive.
The event started with an awareness rally in the market area of the village with the message "Say No To Single Use Plastic". Afterward, a cleanliness drive was organized in the market area for around two hours. During the drive, mainly single-use plastic waste was collected. More than 100 volunteers participated enthusiastically and collected 112 kg of plastic waste during the drive.
Wall painting was also done by 10 volunteers during the Shramdaan activity. NSS Programme coordinator & co-coordinator Dr. Rajiv Kumar and Dr. Kamaldeep also participated in the drive. Vice Chancellor, Prof. R. K. Sinha appreciated the efforts of the NSS volunteers.
